World Anti-Corruption Day

Why Is World Anti-Corruption Day important?

In simple terms, corruption occurs when a person misuses his or her authority for personal benefit, at the expense of other people.

Corruption brings unfairness, crookedness, and, in more serious cases, can even harm lives and property.

It slows down economic growth and makes governments unstable.
The United Nations observes , December 9th as International Anti-Corruption Day to create awareness of the need to fight corruption at every level.
